Description
A fire alarm sounder produces the loud, distinctive tone that tells everyone in a building to evacuate. Sounders are spaced so the alarm can be heard clearly in every room, above normal background noise.

Before you order
This sounder is for conventional panels; for an addressable system, tell us the panel model and we quote the matching sounder. Count enough sounders to be heard clearly in every room, including toilets, stores and plant rooms, above the normal noise. In noisy areas or where people wear ear protection, add a sounder with strobe.
Installation and care
Mount sounders on walls or ceilings, spread through the area rather than grouped in one place. Use a back box where the cable runs on the surface. Check that the total current of the sounders on each circuit is within the panel's rating; a NAC extender adds capacity. Test them during each fire drill.

Enough to be heard clearly everywhere in the building. Larger and noisier areas need more. Send us the floor plan and we suggest a number.
Can I add sounders to my existing system?
Yes, if the panel's sounder circuits have spare capacity. If not, a NAC extender powers the extra sounders.
