Description
A manual pull station, or manual call point, lets the first person to see a fire raise the alarm immediately, without waiting for a detector. They are placed at every exit and along escape routes, where people pass as they leave.
After use, the station is reset with a key, so the alarm can be cleared and the system returned to normal quickly.

Installation and care
Mount the station on the wall beside the exit, at a height everyone can reach, where it is easy to see and not hidden by doors or goods. Keep the reset key with the fire alarm panel. Test each station on a rotation during routine maintenance, and reset it with the key afterwards.

Both raise the alarm by hand. Break glass models use a resettable element in many designs. Choose what your design specifies, or what your staff know.
How is the station reset after use?
With the key that comes with it, or by the reset method of the model. The panel is then reset to clear the alarm.
