A lift is chosen for the building it serves: how many floors, how many people or how much load, and how much space there is for the shaft and machine. This department covers four kinds:
- Passenger lift: for apartment buildings, offices, hotels and hospitals.
- Cargo lift: for goods, raw material and trolleys in factories, warehouses and markets.
- Glass lift: a passenger lift with a glass car, often in malls, showrooms and atriums.
- Escalator: moves a steady flow of people between floors in shopping malls and stations.
What to send us
To quote a lift, we need:
- The type of building, and the number of floors and stops.
- The load (number of people, or kg for a cargo lift).
- The shaft size and pit depth, if the shaft is already built. A drawing is best.
- The power supply at the site.
For an escalator, send the floor-to-floor height and the space available. We reply with a written quotation.
Installation and maintenance

What happens to a lift during a power cut?
A lift with an automatic rescue device (ARD) moves to the nearest floor and opens its doors, so no one is trapped. To keep the lift in service during load shedding, it needs a generator. Plan both with the building's power.
