Description
Structural steel loses its strength quickly in a fire. A cementitious fire coating insulates the steel, so it stays below its critical temperature for the rated period and the building stays standing while people evacuate.
It is sprayed or trowelled onto columns, beams and decks, with the thickness set by the rating required and the size of each steel section.
