Fire Rated Door

A fire rated door keeps fire and smoke out of a stairwell or escape corridor for a set time, so people can get out and firefighters can get in. Stair doors, electrical rooms and compartment walls all need one, as the Bangladesh National Building Code requires.

We supply doors with their frames, intumescent seals, closers and panic hardware as a tested set, so the rating holds in practice.

Before you order

Tell us the fire rating you need (in minutes), the sizes and the quantities, from your fire safety design or approved drawings. We confirm the rating and the test documents in the quotation.

For each door, give the opening size, single or double leaf, any vision panel, and the hardware you need: closer, lock or latch, and panic bar for exit doors.

Installation and care

The door, frame, seals and hardware are installed together as tested, with the gaps around the leaf kept within limits. Keep fire doors closed, never wedge them open, and check each month that they close and latch by themselves. Our team can install fire doors on request.
