Description
An air conditioning duct passing through a fire wall is an open path for fire and smoke. A fire damper installed in the duct at the wall closes automatically when heat melts its fusible link or the fire alarm signals it, restoring the wall's fire rating.
Motorised fire and smoke dampers can also be reset and tested remotely from the building management system.
