Description
A fireproof suit protects firefighters and emergency teams from radiant heat and brief flame contact. It is worn by the trained fire team in factories, refineries and plants when they approach a fire.
Suits are made from Nomex, Kevlar or aluminised fire-retardant fabric, depending on the heat exposure expected, and come as a set with hood, gloves and boots.

Choosing the suit
An aluminised suit reflects radiant heat and suits work close to a fire, such as shutting a valve near a burning tank. Nomex and Kevlar suits give flame resistance for general fire team work. Tell us what the team will do and the risks on your site, and we quote the right type. Order by size, from M to XXL, so each suit fits its wearer.
Wearing and care
Put on the complete set: jacket, trousers, hood, gloves and boots, with no gaps at the wrists, neck or ankles. Train the team to put it on quickly. After use, check the suit for damage, clean it as the maker instructs, and store it dry and folded loosely at the fire point.
