Description
The jockey pump control panel runs the small pump that keeps a hydrant or sprinkler system full and pressurised. When a small leak lets the pressure drop, the panel starts the jockey pump and stops it again once the pressure is back.
That stops the main fire pump from starting for every minor loss of pressure, which saves power and wear. The panel protects the motor against overload, short circuit and phase failure, and can be switched to manual for testing.

Installation and care
The panel is mounted in the pump room near the pump, with the pressure sensing line connected to the system. Its start and stop pressures are set as the design shows, above those of the main pump. Check its operation during the weekly pump run.
