Description
A pressure transducer turns the water pressure in a fire system into an electrical signal the pump controller can read. The controller uses it to decide when to start the jockey pump and the main fire pump.
Compared with a mechanical pressure switch, a transducer gives the controller a continuous reading, so set points can be adjusted on the panel and the pressure can be logged. It is also a common replacement part when a controller's readings drift.
