Description
An emergency exit light shows the way to the nearest exit and stays lit when the power fails. Signs are placed over exits and along escape routes so that people can find their way out even in smoke or darkness.
Its LED lamp runs from a built-in rechargeable battery for 2 to 4 hours after a power cut, and recharges automatically from the mains.

Installation and care
Connect the light to a permanent supply that is not switched off with the room lights, so the battery stays charged. Test it each month by cutting its supply for a short time and checking that it lights, and run a full duration test each year. Replace the battery when it no longer lasts.
